Garnish the Iced Tea Gel Candle - and Enjoy

Garnish your iced tea gel candle with some fruit slices and you're ready to enjoy your candle!

A few gel candle making tips for these candles:

  • Take the wax fruit garnish off of the candle if/when you burn them. If the paraffin wax melts, it will drip into the gel and cause cloudiness.
  • Unfortunately, just like ice cubes in a glass of real iced tea, the gel ice cubes in your iced tea gel candle will seem to "melt" over time. They don't really melt, it's just that like color bleeding in melt and pour soap making, the color in the tea-colored gel will bleed into the clear ice cube gel and it will all look like a glass of tea with no ice. But not to worry too much - it took about 4 or 5 months for this to happen with the gel candle I made here. So, like the summertime, enjoy it while you can.
