Adding color to the candle gel

Time to make some tea.

As before, cut some chunks of candle gel and put it in your pot to melt. This candle held about 8 ounces of candle gel. Once it's about 210 - 215°, add your fragrance oil. Most Medium Density Candle Gel (Buy Direct) will hold between 3% and 5% fragrance oil. That means about .5 to .8 ounce of fragrance oil per pound of wax. Stir well to incorporate the fragrance oil, but don't stir so vigorously that you start to make bubbles in the wax.

Add just a titch of color to the wax...a tiny drop at a time. To get the tea color, I used about two drops of yellow, one half drop of red and the tiniest little bit of blue.

Stir well and let the gel cool to about 190-200°.
