Setup for the Small Heart Soaps

Clear Soap Base

Pour Just a Bit of Clear Base into Cavity

David Fisher
Once your heart embeds are made, melt and scent the rest of your soap base.

Note: Be careful what fragrance oil you use, especially if you are using clear soap base - some fragrance oils will color and/or cloud the soap base. Use as light and clear a fragrance as possible.

To embed the hearts into your bars of soap, pour about 1/2" of clear melted soap base into the mold cavity and wait until it has cooled/set up a bit. Then place the hearts into the cavity. The bit of soap helps anchor the hearts in the cavity, and makes them sit a little "deeper" into the bar of soap. I put two of the small hearts and one of the big hearts into the cavities.
