The loofah soaps that we made in the Super Scrubby Loofah Soap Project are just that - super scrubby. The loofah slices look great in the soap, but they're probably a little rough for anywhere but hands, feet, or skin you really wanted to exfoliate well.

What to do?

There are a couple of ways to use the same soap recipe and loofahs, but make them a bit less scrubby:

  1. Use cuts of the loofah in individual bars of soap
  2. Grind the loofah before you put it into the soap
Each of these variations has its own benefits, so I'll show you each of them.
