Many of you have made my Melt and Pour Valentines Soaps. It's a great project that is based on "embeds" - or rather, small molded pieces of soap that are floated in a larger bar of soap.

This project is based on layering the soap, rather than embedding it. It's laborious...and takes some time...but the results are unlike any other sort of soap you can make. You can use the same technique to make an amazing variety of beautiful soaps!

Let's get started!

  1. Valentines Day Layered Melt and Pour Soaps
  2. What You Need to Make Layered Valentines Soaps
  3. Melt the Soap
  4. Lay in the Letters and/or First Layer
  5. Prepare the Rest of the Bar
  6. Pour the "Bottom" Layer of Soap
  7. Unmold the Soaps
  8. Enjoy the Many Variations
