The One Pot Method

The Candy Corn Candle can be made in one pot if you're careful mixing your colors.

The process is pretty much the same as the multi-pot method, except instead of separating the wax and coloring each portion separately, you just add the color onto the previous color.

The first layer is white - no color The second layer is yellow - add yellow colorant The third layer is orange - either add enough orange colorant into the yellow wax to give you the orange you need, or (my preference) add a little red to the yellow to give you a nice deep orange. (red + yellow = orange)

Let the layers cool as before.

You can use this for any layered candle where the colors are additive onto one another. For example:

  • Layer 1 - White
  • Layer 2 - Yellow
  • Layer 3 - Green (Made by adding blue to the yellow)

  • Layer 1 - Red
  • Layer 2 - Purple (Add Blue to the Red)
  • Layer 3 - Brown (Add yellow or green to the purple)
Or try any combination of colors you can imagine.

Enjoy!
