Overdip with a Color

Overdipping with Color

David Fisher
This step is optional, but I like to do it. It gives the torches some extra color and variety.

Either add dye directly to your dipping wax, or make up a new batch of dipping wax in a different color. As before, dip the candle into the colored wax. It will take several dips to get a good solid color. Here is where you are only limited by your imagination and your dipping cans. You can do multi-colored overdips, or graded overdips, where the first few inches of the candle get many dips, the next few inches just several, the next few inches just a few, and the last inches just one.
