Keep Dipping

Keep dipping, making sure to give the stick a rest to cool/harden a bit in between dips. I like to do 4-6 of them at a time. In the time it takes to dip #6, #1 is ready to dip again.

If it doesn't look like the candle is getting any bigger, your wax is too hot, or you're letting it sit in the wax too long. If the finish on the candle, after dipping, is lumpy or streaky, your wax may be too cool. When my wax starts to cool, I just plop the dipping can into the double boiler and heat it up.
