Using a pair of pliers and a hot pad (or two pairs of pliers), gently lower the mold into the water bath. Be very careful not to splash any water into the wax! Immediately, you'll start to see the wax cooling around the edge of the mold.

When the sides of the shell have thickened to about 1/2", remove the mold from the water bath.
