Take a very accurate measurement to determine how wide to cut the end pieces

First place the two side strips in the mitre box so that you can determine the exact measurement that will be needed for your end pieces. The measurement of the opening between the two sides is exactly the measurement that you will need to cut your end pieces. This needs to be a snug fit so that it will stay put and act as a dam when you you pour your soap. Cut both the thin strips and the 1x2 strips.
