When It's Firm, Cut the Wax

Keep an eye on the wax as it cools. You want it to be firm enough to stay together, but pliable enough to cut easily. There is no rule to how long it takes - you just kind of need to "feel it." (Literally and figuratively.) I like to cut mine when it's not quite as hard as butter out of the refrigerator - but firmer than cream cheese.

Because the wax hasn't cooled and shrunk any, you'll likely need to take a butter knife and cut around the edge of the pan to loosen the edge. Then, using a spatula, lift the "sheet" of wax out of the pan and plop it onto a cookie sheet.
