More About "Floating" Soap

Well...while you're all trying out a batch of Whipped Soap, I thought I'd pass on a pretty cool science experiment - the Foaming Soap Trick. Not that I'm suggesting that you go out and buy a bar of Ivory Soap and put it in your microwave to see it bubble and expand - but it is a good example of just how much air and water vapor are actually trapped in a bar of soap - and especially in a bar of Whipped Soap Great pics of the soap foaming in the author's microwave!

Talking about Nizzi’s soap, which I think are the greatest, I HP my soap and then after the cook I add my EO, Botanicals, Mica. When my added ingredients are thoroughly mixed by hand, I shape it, or use a Cookie Cutter for design. I don’t normally whip my soap after it’s traced and apply a fair amount of pressure as I’m shaping it. All the soap I make, float and test each batch to make sure it does.
