There's something about the winter time - with the light dwindling day by day - that makes candles all the more special and almost sacred. One of my favorite winter time decorations is a large bowl of floating candles. I love the balance of water and flame and movement. And while you can make them in flower shapes and other shapes, I love the simple basic shape of these candles made in mini-muffin tins. You can easily use holiday colors - green and red - blue and gold - to make these holiday specific. And you can either leave them unscented...or fill the air with a holiday scent.
