Well...I must admit. I first published my recipe for pumpkin soap over 7 years ago. Since then, every year, I make at least two or three batches for my house and for friends.
But this year I decided to try something different. Instead of a swirled soap, it's a layered soap with goat's milk for added richness and cornmeal for a bit of natural exfoliation.

I made the new recipe of the pumpkin soap yesterday and to my surprise the colours are totally different from those in the picture. The bigger part is yellowish and the smaller brownish, but not that dark, and it turned out quite smooth, as if it will crumble at any time. I did follow the recipe in everything, except for castor oil, which I still haven’t bought. Any ideas if I am on the right path?
