It's very similar...and yet very different from making regular cold process bar soap. It uses potassium hydroxide instead of sodium hydroxide. It's a "hot process" soap instead of cold process, and the recipes are formulated with excess lye instead of a lye discount. The final product still bubbles and cleans and moisturizes, and there are almost as many varieties, techniques and variations in liquid soap as there are for bar soap.
