Recycling Candle Wax and Battling Cancer

Eric M. Husbands Sr., a.k.a. "Open a cupboard in this kitchen and wax will likely tumble out." Eric Maurice Husbands Sr. is the "candle guy" who recycles wax from churches to make unique candles. "This whole place," he says, gesturing to his apartment kitchen, "if you look in my cupboards or anything you're going to be filled with wax."
In this week's newsletter, I featured an article on Recycling Candle Wax. I often have odds and ends of candle tests, or bits of leftover wax - so I like to put them to good use. Today, I came across this article by Jennifer Taplin in The Daily News of Halifax Canada, about Eric Maurice Husbands Sr. who has taken recycling candle wax to an earth-healing and self-healing level. It's an inspirational story that shows that no matter how humble your beginnings, there is a great candle maker in all of us.
