I was at my friend Ed's house for dinner the other night, and he put some very interesting candles on the table. They were votive candles...but instead of a glass container holding them, it was rolled beeswax. They melted sort of like votives, and sort of like mini-pillar candles, with a little of the scent coming from the candle and a little of the scent coming from the beeswax - truly wonderful. I set out to make some of them myself - and found a really wonderful, really easy variation on the standard votive candle holder.
