Bar Hopping - When a Bath Becomes a Daily Luxury

Tuesday June 27, 2006
ShoesWhat if we told you there was a way you could:
  1. Smell really great...
  2. Have squeaky-clean radiant skin
  3. Have great taste in shoes
Well you can achieve two out of the three by making soap. As for the footwear, check out this story about Bangor, Maine soapmaker Kelly Mason. She's turned her soap making hobby into a profitable toiletries business. (Her bankers tell her that even her money smells fresh.) She's got a great perspective on soap making, and it's a great story. At the end of the article, there is a great list of other wonderful Maine-based soap makers including Bar Harbor Soap and Candle Co., Ancient Oracle Soap Co., Black Bay Farm Botanicals, and Garden by the Sea Fabulous Soaps. Check them out - really great products and websites!
