(1) Fragrances says:

Great collection of material here. I haven’t been making candles very long, but I have really gotten involved in it lately. I guess I hadn’t really recognized just how powerful the right scent can be. In the past I’ve experimented with buying candles at the store, but I’ve always tried very simple things, like chocolate and sugar cookie, things I like to smell. What I’ve begun to realize, though, is that more complex scents are really the way to go. Essentially what I’ve had to understand is that aroma is more than just something you like to smell. It has to do with accessing very particular parts of the brain. My favorite of those you’ve mentioned here is “English Ivy.” I use it in my home work space and it does a great job of keeping me alert but calm. I don’t normally like florals, but this one is subtle enough to work well.
