It's the Thought that Counts - Right?

Monday December 26, 2005
"Everyone knows I mean well, that these gifts are meant to spread joy, not rashes and house-fires. And thumbing through craft books at the bookstore I think, “how could anything go wrong with this project?” Until I find out." So says reporter Heather Armitage in a New Hampshire Public Radio spot that has me laughing so hard, I'm crying! She tells of flaming cinnamon flower-pot candles, moldy oatmeal soap, sinus clearing foot soaks and more. It's all the more funny for us candle and soap makers who've been at it a few years, and have had a few projects turn out like hers!
There's a transcript and a radio link to the story at It's the Thought that Counts Enjoy!
(But seriously...her story is a reminder to all of us of the importance of properly testing all of your candles and soaps before giving them away!)
