Most of the "Top Ten Gift Lists" I saw for 2005 included hand crafted soaps and/or candles on them. People are drawn to the quality of our hand crafted goods, drawn to things that are simpler (or that they can make themselves.) And they are savvy to the health benefits of using more natural products. The CNN Money article talks about starting your own soap making business.
