A Common Candle Maker's Guide to Safety

Rules rules rules! Everyone gives us rules! While not quite a "don't ask me how I know this" article, I have put together a new article on candle making safety. Some of it's common sense, some of it comes from experience.
For example, everyone always says "Never leave melting wax unattended." But just what qualifies as "unattended"? I try to answer that. Some of the good ones I left out of the article though are:

• Paying the pizza-delivery man = NO
• Getting the cat off of the counter = OK
• Arguing with your spouse over just how much you spent on candle supplies last week while still in the kitchen = OK
• Arguing with your spouse about how much you spent if the argument takes you up the stairs, down the stairs, into the den, out onto the porch and back into the kitchen = NO
• Making dinner = NO
• Eating a banana, or a pop-tart, or a chocolate bar = OK
• Having a double Bourbon after the pop-tart = NO

You get the point. Now let's go safely make some candles!
